Please note: These plans should only be purchased if you are not eligible for the coverage under your school-sponsored plan.
Individual International and
Travel Insurance Plans
Relation has partnered with HTH Worldwide to offer affordable and comprehensive coverage for international inbound college students who do not have coverage through their U.S. college or university, as well as for domestic U.S. students who are studying or traveling abroad.
These plans are offered only for students and scholars who are not eligible for a school-sponsored plan.

Individual/Family Health Plans
Anthem (BlueCross/BlueShield) offers individual and family health insurance plans. These plans do not replace your school-sponsored health plan, and may not meet all the coverage requirements of your school. Before enrolling in this plan you should first exhaust all options offered under your school-sponsored health plan.
Dental Plans
Many Student Health Insurance Plans (SHIPs) now include dental (and vision) benefits for covered persons under age 19 (up to your 19th birthday). Check your school’s SHIP coverage to determine if these benefits are already included in your plan (click on “Find Your School” and then select your college or university from the drop-down list to view your plan brochure).
If your student/scholar or individual health program does not contain coverage for preventative & routine dental care, protect your smile by purchasing one of the plans described below.
Individual Dental Plans
Dental plans are designed to encourage preventive treatment, allowing you to achieve oral health while striving to minimize dental costs. Select the coverage level you need. HMO and PPO plan are available. Each plan is sold on an individual basis and plan may not be available in every location.
New Benefits - Dental and Vision Discount Card
Save on general dentistry, cleaning, root canals, crowns, orthodontia and more by purchasing a discount card that can save members up to 50%. You can also save on eye exams, lenses, contacts and general surgical procedures by purchasing a discount vision card.
SmileSaver Dental HMO Plan, (for CA residents only)
SmileSaver is a pre-paid, HMO dental plan available for a low monthly cost. SmileSaver is one of the largest providers of pre-paid dental plans in California and is available exclusively to California residents. There is no financial limit to the services you can receive. There are no deductibles, no claim forms, and no waiting for reimbursement.
The SmileSaver dental plan benefits include:
- Low monthly membership fee
- No charge for regular exams
- No charge for X-rays
- No charge for routine cleaning (twice annually)
- No charge for simple extractions
- Low copayments for other dental services
- Orthodontic and elective coverage included at great savings
Monthly Membership Fee*
- Member: $20.75 per month
- Member +1: $32.50 per month
- Family: $43.75 per month
*You must purchase a minimum of three (3) months of coverage.
Dates of Coverage
If online enrollment is completed (and payment submitted) on or before the 20th of the month, you will have an effective date of the first day of the following month. If online enrollment is completed (and payment submitted) after the 20th of the month, you will have an effective date of the first date of the second month thereafter. (Example: If your enrollment/payment is submitted on 09/20/17, your coverage will be effective on 10/01/17. But if your enrollment/payment is submitted on 09/21/17, your coverage will be effective on 11/01/17.)
Coverage for this plan does not extend beyond September 30, 2018. Please do not submit payment for enrollment in the plan beyond this date. Should you wish to enroll for a longer period, the program for the 2018–2019 year will be available prior to the beginning of the Fall term.

When Searching for a Dental Provider:
- Select: “Dental HMO/Managed Care”
- Select Plan Name: “SmileSaver 3000”
- Enter your ZIP code, select your search radius, and click “Search”
- Write down your chosen provider’s Facility ID number
